Orga Aviation returns to WindEnergy in Hamburg, Germany, to showcase innovative LED marking and lighting system for wind turbines

As WindEnergy Hamburg opens its doors for the second time, Dutch company Orga Aviation is looking forward to returning to the world’s largest wind energy event from 27–30 September 2016.

This year, the biennial trade fair is teaming up with the leading wind energy conference WindEurope (previously EWEA) with the two events running parallel.

The theme of WindEurope Summit 2016 is Making transition work. The summit will feature conference sessions tailored to improve the understanding of the trends that are shaping the sector in Europe and beyond – including changing market dynamics in Europe, emerging market developments and game-changing technologies.

As Europe looks to wind power to enhance energy security and to help meet its 20% renewable energy commitment by 2020, the industry continues to drive down costs with even bigger turbines to access stronger winds and generate more electricity. Safety in the air is paramount and to ensure safe aircraft navigation around wind farms, such structures must comply with strict ICAO, FAA, UK CAA and local obstruction marking and lighting standards.

Working with civil aviation authorities around the world on regulatory guidance, Orga has more than 40 years of experience in the design, development and manufacture of smart aviation obstruction lights.

Orga’s wind turbine obstruction marking and lighting system comprises of a control panel, high and medium intensity LED lights, visibility meter and low intensity LED light and controller option if required. With advanced LED optical technologies and precision engineering, the system meets all national and international regulations, delivers optimum performance and lowers the total cost of ownership.

Rico van Gulden, Regional Sales Manager at Orga, said: “We are looking forward to returning to WindEnergy Hamburg and to showcasing our smart obstruction marking and lighting system to new and existing customers. Orga works hard to keep ahead of emerging technologies so that we can give our customers the sustainable competitive advantage they need in the wind industry.”
